Audiovisual: Creativity and profitability toward equilibrium?

Cultural industries which fall under the audiovisual sector offer a new niche that Caribbean countries can use to develop their economies. Viableeconomic models as well as exploitable niche research remain key issues which allow for the potential development of this sector. The latter, despiteinternational visibility, has notable funding difficulties and an insufficientprofessionalization of its actors. Opportunities remain attractive to the mainly small Caribbean territories: the ratio of size to potential;rewards play in their favour. Two examples illustrate this situation.
