Bilan KAMACUKA : travail accompli et nouveaux objectifs
KAMACUKA balance: an opportunity to assess the work done and to set new goals
Dear Supporters, Dear Readers,
With the summer holidays around the corner, it’s time to take a step back and measure all the work accomplished over the year and set new goals. The KAMACUKA team is especially pleased to take stock because there are so many reasons for satisfaction.
On our way from the idea to reality, we have strived to make KAMACUKA a relevant, efficient Caribbean-Amazonian cultural network.
VERSIÓN ESPAÑOLA AQUÍ
Our ambitions: encourage trans-border communication, disseminate information via ICT,(Information and communication technology) support professional network structuring, open horizons to reveal new opportunities and innovative models and, through this, to promote the sector’s economic dynamism.
To achieve these goals, we have launched an online platform featuring nearly 1400 selected, translated presentations of artists and performers, as well as cultural structures and events spanning 20 territories. Thanks to this site, the published articles and dispatched newsletters, users can learn about the tremendous potential of the French and English-speaking Caribbean and its diaspora, as well as the human and material resources it has to offer.
We have also held three professional encounters on talent pooling and business models in Guadeloupe, a video conference from Puerto Rico, and participated in a variety of encounters across the Caribbean that have boosted inter-professional exchanges.
None of these accomplishments would have been possible without the devoted involvement of our volunteers who have translated hundreds of pages and given their full support to the project. We want to give them a huge thanks! But we want to achieve even more. That’s why we invite you to submit your projects, post them and update your information regularly.
Let’s keep KAMACUKA alive!
The KAMACUKA team
