After attending primary school in Grand-Bourg de Marie-Galante, he finished his secondary school studies in Baimbridge.He currently teaches the Creole language, regional cultures and literature-history.As a cultural activist for the Contact et Recherche Caraïbe (CORECA) association, he was one of the first to use the spelling advocated by the research group, Groupe d’études et de recherches en espace créolophone (GEREC).
