After extensive travel abroad for his studies, Nicolas Nabajoth returned home in the 1990’s. In 2004, during the labour strikes at the port of Pointe-à -Pitre, he decided to portray the activity of this business sector, which is the region’s vital artery, and began a series of images on the ports of the archipelago.
In 2008 he portrayed the changing urban landscape and social connections in the Grande-Terre commune of Abymes, which has been the focus of an urban renovation plan.
