After receiving his doctoral degree in medicine, Ruddy Silaire would ultimately embrace theatre as his vocation. Starting in 1990, he worked as an actor with the Hervé Denis Company and resident at the Institut Français d’Haïti, in Port-au-Prince. From there he would perform on the international stage in places like Avignon, Montreal, Washington, Santo Domingo, Mexico, and Ouidah. In recent years, Ruddy Silaire has been based in the French West Indies and has taken on stage directing.
