Vady Confident began as a craftsman at the age of 17, specialising in papier mâché. He would later attend the studio of his friend, painter Jacque Philippes Jean Pierre. In 2003 he continued his training at the Jacmel art centre (FOSAJ).
Influenced by realism, he developed a style combining cubism and impressionism. He is a drawing and painting instructor at FOSAJ and also teaches papier mâché to the citizens of his town, while in parallel exercising his profession as an electrician.
