Victor Ô left Martinique for France at the age of 11 where, for over twenty-six years, he would hone his own musical style through a variety of collaborations. Beginning with explorations in funk, he would go on to become a producer in the hip-hop world and write music for performers like Clémentine Célarié and the singer from Reunion Island, Orlane. He also belonged to the group, Dafaïtagazz. On his return to Martinique, he began a solo career that resulted in his first album, followed by Diasporas (Aztec Musique/ Rue Stendhal) in 2014.
