Prix Carbet des lycéens

This award is given to a novelist from the French Caribbean and French Guyana by young secondary school students from Guadeloupe, French Guyana and Martinique and is accompanied by a poster competition run by students taking a visual arts option.  The grand jury meeting is held by video conference, and a jury composed of literature teachers also awards a Critics Award established in 2008.
The aim of the Carbet des Lycéens award is for young people to appropriate their cultural heritage and become involved in their local creative dynamics. It is managed by Arts Lycéens, a cultural non-profit from the “Droits de L’Homme” secondary school, with heavy involvement from teachers and strong support from administrations, the French and regional governments  (DAC*and  DAAC*), the town of Petit-Bourg and the Regional Council.

In 2015, Gary Victor was awarded.
