Trinidadian director and playwright influenced by Brecht, the Nigerian Femi Osofisan, and the Jamaican Dennis Scott. As an undergraduate at the University of the West Indies in Jamaica, Gibbons founded the Caribbean Theatre Workshop with Tony Smith.
